REMAINS OF THE DAY

An Italian family received an unexpected package from an aunt who had emigrated to the USA some years before. On discovering that the package contained a jar of dark powder, the mother decided that it must be some exotic spice and, that evening, contacted a pasta sauce using the powder. The family were more than pleased with the strong meaty flavour the powder gave to their pasta dishes. However, they were more than distraught the next morning when they received a letter from their aunt telling them to expect their uncles cremated remains any day.
