ROLLER SKATING
In London, a boy had been learning the art of roller-skating, when he noticed
a lace had come undone. He rested the skate on the bumper of a truck to tighten
it up, but the truck suddenly started up and, unable to wrench his skate free,
the boy was pulled behind. Unfortunately, the truck was bound for Edinburgh and
the poor boy was dragged for over 250 miles on the motorway before die driver
decided to stop at the motorway services for a cup of tea. The boy finally managed
to break free form the truck's bumper, but now found himself without any money
to get home. So he did the obvious thing - crossed over the motorway and latched
himself on to a truck going back to London. The boy went on to become one of the
fastest roller-skaters in the world.
