THE SNIP

A mother from Athens, Greece, had been trying to stop her three-year old son from wetting the bed for over a year without success. She had tried offering him sweets and toys and reading bed-time stories, but the boy kept wetting the bed every night. Exasperated, the woman shouted at the boy, "If you wet your bed again, I'll cut it off!" Unfortunately the boy's seven-year-old sister had overheard her mothers idle threat and taken it literally. The next morning, the sister discovered that her brother had again wet the bed. As her parents were still asleep, she got hold of a pair of scissors and carried out the threat. The poor infant bled to death.
