CABBIT

Anyone who understands the joys of rabbit ownership will know that, despite their incredible cuteness, they are not always the most affectionate or exciting of creatures. Now a company in America is offering to sell a new hybrid animal which, they claim, combines the finest qualities of the rabbit and die cat. Male rabbits are famed for their willingness to attempt sex with any female creature, regardless of species, and by a coincidence rabbits and cats share the same number of chromosomes and a remarkably similar gestation period. Allied to this is the fact that female cats will quite happily raise the young of almost any species as one of their own. All these factors have combined to help animal breeders develop this brand new pet. Called a racat (although some breeders are pushing for the far more attractive name of cabbit) die animal can be ordered from most large pet stores but may take a little while to arrive due to the almost legendarily laid-back nature of both cats and rabbits.
