KICKED CAT!

In Nashville, Tennessee, a missionary paid a visit on an old woman who was a regular at his church. The old woman told him to sit down in the lounge and then brought him tea and biscuits. The missionary told the woman about his recent work, but he was getting increasingly annoyed with the woman's cat, which kept pulling and chewing on his robe cords. At one point when the woman had gone to make some more tea, the man kicked the cat away. However, he hadn't realised how old the cat was and the kick killed it. Hearing the woman coming back in, the missionary panicked and picked up the cat and put it on his lap and began stroking it. The old woman didn't seem to notice and they continued their conversation. The missionary finished his cup of tea and wished the old lady good health and left. A few days later, the old lady turned up at the church and took the missionary aside. With a tear in her eye, she said, "I hate to tell you this, because you seemed to be getting on so well, but my cat passed away soon after you left."
