MAN AND HIS DOG

A farmer in the Australian outback realised that his 12-year-old dog, who was painfully sick, would have to be put down. Unable to bring himself to shoot the poor animal, he came up with an idea. He tied die dog up to a small tree and put a lit stick of dynamite in its mouth. Tears welled up in his eyes as he backed away from the dog and, unable to watch any more, he retreated into the farmhouse. Thirty seconds later, the man had just helped himself to a beer, when he heard the ail-too familiar whining at the front door.
