RETIRED CAT

A wealthy woman, living in the heart of Paris, had a cat that was very precious to her. The cat was getting old and the woman decided that the least she could do was move out to the country for the final years of the cat s life, so the he could enjoy the space and tranquillity away from the noise and smog of the city. Eventually, the woman moved into a small farmhouse in a village just outside Paris. After unpacking, the woman put the cat on the grass to soak up the sun and, while she talked to him, she prepared his dinner in the kitchen. Suddenly she was alarmed to hear the cat squeal in pain and ran outside, just in time to see a falcon flying off with her beloved cat in its claws.
