THE ENORMOUS CLAM

A man went on a diving holiday to Thailand and was having a wonderful time exploring the beautiful underwater scenery of the sea. On one dive, he came across a cave and, on further investigation, spotted a giant clam inside. Realising that the clam could be worth a lot of money, the man approached it, knife in hand, but as he went to prise the clam off the rock, it slammed shut on his other hand. He tried prising the clam open with his knife, but without success. Realising that if he didn't free himself soon, he would run out of air and drown, the man took the only option he had left. He cut his hand off with his knife and just managed to swim to the surface before his air ran out.
