THE GREAT PIG ESCAPE

Two pigs, about to be slaughtered, escaped from an abattoir recently. The pigs, thought to be in love, dug a hole under a fence, crept through and swam across the River Avon, to escape certain death at the hands of merciless farmers. Following a nation-wide hunt, widely reported in the media, an anonymous animal lover offered to buy the pigs for thousands of pounds to save their bacon. The pigs were eventually discovered hiding out in an abandoned church in deepest, darkest Somerset. The pig farmer, surprised at the turn of events and happy to make such a huge profit, passed the pigs on to their new benefactor.
