THE PUPPY

In Chester, England, a young girl was thrilled to get a puppy for her birthday. She played with it for hours and then decided to take him for a walk. Before leaving the house, her mother told her to keep an eye on her pet and not to let him go because he was not familiar enough with the area. The girl took her puppy for a walk around the house, and then remembered that she had a tennis ball inside for him to play with. The girl tied the puppy to the handle of the garage door and ran in to get the ball. Just then, the girl's father arrived home and, as he turned the car into the driveway, he hit the remote control to open the garage door. As the door opened, it pulled the tied puppy into the air, choking it. Fortunately, the father heard the puppy's squeals and untied him just in time.
