WRONG MAN

This is a case of bureaucracy gone mad. A man, who lived by a small river in Wyoming, informed his local authority that a dam built by beavers had been causing flooding on his land. In due course, the man received a letter telling him that the local authority was prosecuting him for unauthorised construction on the river. The baffled man wrote back, saying that it was actually beavers that had built a dam and that was what he was complaining about. The man didn't hear anything for a month until one morning, two bailiffs knocked on his door and asked him if he knew where a Mr Beaver lived. Apparently, the local authority had fined the beavers $ 10,000 for die unauthorised construction and another $1,000 for not showing up in court.
