BURGLAR IN A PICKLE

In Birmingham, a professional burglar's career was cut short when he picked the house of a chutney enthusiast. Trouble started when he broke in through the kitchen window and promptly fell headfirst into a very large jar of home-made mango chutney. Unable to remove the jar, the man tried to smash it against the wall, but was overcome by the chutney's potent fumes. The homeowner returned from his night out to find the burglar unconscious on the kitchen floor. He later told police, "He might not have survived if he'd landed in my lime pickle."
