CAUGHT ON CAMERA

An old lady had entered a photo booth to get a picture for Senior Citizens' Pass and was just about to pull her best toothless grin when a callow youth stuck his head into the booth and attempted to steal her hand bag. As he got a grip on the handle, so too did she and in the resulting struggle the little thug was pulled into the booth. At that very moment the first of four pictures was taken and the resulting flash startled them both for a second. Quickly coming to her senses, the old lady resumed pulling on the bag and once again the youth was pulled into the booth. Again there was a flash, but this time the young man realised that he had met his match and made a break for it, with the old lady in tow. Tracking down the would-be thief was easy of course, as the police had his picture, and evidence of his crime, from the old lady's attempts to get a photograph for her travel card.
