EATEN EVIDENCE

A judge in Bombay, India, was forced to dismiss a case against a man accused of murdering and robbing a market trader. The man had been caught red-handed with the bag of wheat he had allegedly snatched from the trader after allegedly hitting him over the head with a rock. The man was arrested and the bag of wheat taken as evidence. However, when the case came to court, rats had completely destroyed the bag of wheat and, with no witnesses of the event, the judge dismissed the case due to lack of evidence.
