MAKING A FILM
The residents of a small town in Wiltshire were very excited, when a popular
police TV show chose the area as a good place to film an episode. The film crew
went round talking to residents and researching locations and had been in the
town for two days when they visited a jewellery shop. The owner was not surprised
when a young man with a clipboard came in and asked if they could film a scene
in his shop. The owner, thinking it would be great for business, readily agreed
and a few hours later, the young man returned with a video camera and three men
wearing masks of various American presidents and carrying shotguns. The young
man told the owner that he was going to film the men coming in, filling their
bags full of jewels, then running out into a waiting car and driving off. All
the owner had to do was look surprised and put his hands up. Everything went smoothly,
the men filled their bags, ran out and the young man had followed them with the
camera. However, when no-one had returned after 30 minutes, the owner realised
he'd been duped and called the police.
