PARTY ON...
A young teacher and her friends were enjoying a particularly noisy evening
at home getting drunk and generally annoying the neighbours in a quiet and painfully
dull London suburb. Despite repeated requests to keep the noise down, the household
took no notice and carried on partying into the night. When the drink began to
run out one person was nominated to go out and get some more beers while the rest
remained behind in order to study the effects of marijuana on the under 30s. No
sooner had that person left than there was a knock at the door. Assuming that
the beer-getter had forgotten the money, one of the party animals went to answer
the door, having first taken the trouble to put a wastepaper basket on his head.
"Come on in you silly sod," he shouted and led his friend back into the living
room just moments after the female teacher had been handed the only joint in the
room that was still burning. Unfortunately for all concerned, the party animal
with the bin on his head had, in fact, led the police into the living room, where
they conveyed the neighbours' concerns about the noise before leading the poor
teacher off to the police station to receive a caution.
