ARMLESS
A group of medical students at Bristol University hit upon a novel prank they
could play. They managed to get hold of an arm of a cadaver and then drove off
towards the Severn Bridge. Just before they reached the toll booth over the bridge,
the driver put the dead arm through the sleeve of his jacket and placed several
coins in its hand. The student drove up to the toll booth and extended the arm.
The poor man behind the toll booth must have been horrified when the car drove
off, leaving him holding the limb. Unfortunately for the students, however, fingerprints
were taken from the hand of the arm, traced back to the cadaver at the university
and the group of students identified. The students were not expelled, but their
professor failed them in anatomy because it seemed they had used a left arm instead
of a right arm.
