CAUGHT
Two students at Oxford University, England were so confident about their psychology
final examination the following Monday, that they went into London and partied
all weekend with the intention of doing some last-minute revision on the Sunday.
However, their night out turned into a drinking marathon and they woke up on Monday
morning with stinking hangovers. In no mood to sit an exam, they phoned the Dean
of their college and told him that their car had broken down and they wouldn't
be able to make it back in time. The Dean agreed to let them take the exam the
next day. Relieved, they studied that night and felt confident they would pass
the exam. They arrived at the college and the Dean put them in separate rooms,
gave each student a surprisingly slim test booklet and told them to begin. The
first and only question in the booklet, was "Exactly where did the car break down?"
Needless to say, both students failed the exam and had to retake the year.
