FAX
A company found it was receiving so much junk mail via the fax that its fax
machine was continually tied up and no one was able to use it. Realising that
just one marketing company was responsible for these faxes, the manager phoned
that company and told the person who answered to remove his company's fax number
from their database. However, when a week went by and the faxes had not stopped
coming, the manager came up with a bright idea. He printed a page with the word
"Virus" written in large letters on it and a second page with a picture of a skull
and crossbones. He waited for a space between incoming faxes, placed the first
page in the fax and then taped the second page to it to form a continuous loop.
He then sent this everlasting fax to the marketing company and left the office
for the weekend. The marketing company employees returned on Monday to find its
offices knee-deep in faxed messages and acted very quickly to remove the aggrieved
company's fax number from its database. Details were transferred to their email
list...
