REFRESHMENT ACCESSORY
Apparently, technical support departments around the world regularly receive
calls like this one, placed by a company executive. The high-flier had recently
had a new multimedia computer installed on his desk. He had had it for a week,
as he explained during the call, and was getting on fine, but he couldn't work
out one thing, which was why he was now calling technical support for help. The
problem, the executive explained, lay with the cup-holder on the front of his
computer. A bit puzzled by this, the advisor asked him to describe this unusual
accessory. "Well, it comes out of the front of my computer when I press its button,"
explained the executive, "but every time I try to put my cup of coffee in it,
it goes back in again and won't come out." Patiently, the technical support guy
explained the function of a CD-ROM drive to a man in a suit who earned four or
five times his salary...
