TASTY OFFER

An up-and-coming fashion designer from Melbourne, Australia, was eating a meal in a Chinese restaurant when she noticed the Chinese characters in the menu and decided they would make a good design on a dress. She copied out a few lines in her notebook. A few weeks later, she had finished her first design incorporating Chinese characters. The woman decided to wear the dress to a party at the community centre that weekend. As it happened, a few Chinese people from the area were also at the party and several started sniggering and nudging one another when they saw the designer dress. Not one to be the subject of a joke, the woman asked what they found so funny. He explained that the characters on her dress read: "This dish cheap but very tasty."
