TELEPHONE TERROR

Any story that starts with two friends and a rifle can only have a limited number of endings, but the end of this one may well come as a surprise to some of you. The two friends took to the streets one night armed only with a severe lack of intellect and a loaded .22 calibre rifle - a lethal combination. Our boys decided to go hunting...for telephone boxes. Between them they made a number of holes in half the town's call boxes before one of them decided to try a trick shot by firing over his shoulder at one of the vicious phone boxes. To his surprise he managed to hit the target. Not to be outdone, his friend decided to go one better. Standing with his back to the target, he bent over, pointed the gun between his legs and waved goodbye to the phone box. Unfortunately the bullet ricocheted off the box and right back at him, making him one of the few men in history to have shot himself in the butt with his own rifle.
