APPEARANCES MISTAKE
In Holland, a group of leather-clad, rough-looking bikers pulled into a petrol
station and entered the shop. The shop assistant was worried that the bikers would
cause trouble so, when a group of smartly-dressed kids showed up, he was noticeably
relieved. The bikers grabbed what they wanted, paid for it and left without a
word. The shop assistant turned to the group of kids and said: "Thank goodness,
you showed up. There's no telling what they would've done!" At which point, one
of the kids pulled out a shotgun and ordered the shop assistant to hand over all
the money in the till. The shop assistant vowed never to give in to stereotyping
again.
