PRACTISE RUN
A group of Italian tourists had just been on the infamous Shotover Jet in
Queenstown, New Zealand, and were driving back to their hotel. The driver was
going over every detail of the apparently nail-biting experience. He went on about
how close the jet-boat driver got to the canyon walls and how fast he was going.
However, when he went on to describe how the jet-boat driver put his hand in the
air to signal that he was going to spin the boat around, the Italian couldn't
help but try out the manoeuvre himself in the car. To the surprise of his companions,
the driver put his hand in the air and slammed on the handbrake. Unfortunately,
the driver had somehow forgotten that he was not in the middle of a quiet river
but on a very busy road. Luckily, there were no fatalities in the resultant 1
5-car pile up.
