SPEEDO NOTE
A man had nothing but mechanical trouble and breakdown after breakdown in
the two years that he owned his car. Fed up, he decided to try and sell it. He
gave it a good clean and polish, tuned up the engine as best as he could and put
an advertisement in the local paper, describing the car as a good runner with
one careful owner. The man realised that the 500,000 miles on the clock might
not look so good and decided to fix it at a more appealing level. On opening up
the speedometer, the man was surprised and somewhat peeved to find a note wedged
into the back that read: "Oh, no, not again. Shouldn't I be consigned to the scrap
heap by now?"
