WASH AWAY CAR
A 35-year-old woman died recently while attempting to wash her car. She went
out to her garage to wash the vehicle but decided that it would be best to move
the car on to her driveway where it would be easier to get at. Having first put
the car into neutral, she pushed from the front and eventually it began to roll
backwards. Soon, however, it became obvious that the vehicle was no longer under
her control. As quickly as she could, she rushed to the rear of the car and attempted
to stop it with her own body weight. Unfortunately the car had now gathered momentum
and, despite her best efforts, continued to roll backwards. In her desperation
to stop the vehicle, she ignored her own safety and was run over for her troubles.
Having flattened its owner, the car then carried on across the road before running
up a neighbour's driveway and colliding with the front of his house.
