WHATEVER YOU SAY

A policeman was directing traffic on the Ml motorway in England after a serious car accident. At one point, an old lady in a beaten-up Fiat Uno slowed down and asked the policeman: "Is there anything I can do to help? I was a nurse in the war, you know." The policeman thanked her but said: "The best thing you can do, madam, is drive off around those cones ahead." He was astonished, moments later, to see the old lady drive off and ever so slowly zig-zag around each cone until she disappeared over the horizon.
