WIFE SWAP

A young couple moved into a quiet suburban enclave. Their neighbours, another couple, invited them round for dinner along with several other couples who lived nearby. As the night wore on and drinks were consumed, the new couple learnt that all the guests indulged in wife-swapping - and they were asked if they wanted to join in. Although hesitant at first, they agreed. Each husband threw his car keys into a hat and a wife would blindly pick out a key and go off with the owner. The young husband threw the key to his Mercedes into the hat with the others and the choosing began. Each wife took turns and eventually, his wife was paired off. Her husband was upset to see how excited his wife was but didn't say anything, instead hoping that he would be pleased with his partner. However, one of the wives said she felt ill and left, leaving him the odd one out and without a partner. The young man sulked all the way home and was infuriated to see that his Mercedes had gone. Wife-less and car-less, the man crashed out. The next morning, he was pleased to see that his car had been returned, but distressed to find in it a note from his wife telling him that she was leaving him.
