HOW LONG...

Just before a couple were due to go on a one-week holiday to Spain, the boyfriend discovered that his girlfriend had been having an affair. Since he had paid for the holiday in full, it seemed foolish not to go, but he decided to take his sister instead of his soon-to-be-ex-girlfriend. Before leaving, he told his girlfriend in no uncertain terms that he wanted her, and all of her belongings, out of his flat before he returned. Arriving home after the holiday, he was pleasantly surprised to find his flat in one piece and actually remarkably tidy - with no detectable trace of his ex-girlfriend. Looking around the room, he noticed that the phone had been left off the hook. He picked up the handset to hear several men talking about sex, so he hung up. When his telephone bill arrived, it included a 150-hour phone call to a chatline number, and a charge that amounted to several thousand pounds.
