THRILL SEEKER

In Auckland, New Zealand, police were initially stumped when they discovered a body of a man in a reservoir. Detectives worked out that the man had used a rope to tie a heavy rock to his ankle and keep him down, but they were mystified to find a pair of scissors with his fingerprints on them at the bottom of the reservoir. However, a week later, a detective received an anonymous message explaining the death. It seems that the man was experimenting with the sexual thrill of self-asphyxiation. The man had tied the rock to his ankle, so that it would hold him beneath the surface. At the last moment, the man had intended to cut the rope, but in his excitement, he had dropped the scissors and drowned.
